Repair warranty terms and conditions

At iHandi Phone and Computer Service and Sale (hereinafter referred to as “iHandi”), we take pride in providing high-quality repair services to our valued customers. To ensure transparency and clarity, we have established the following Warranty Policy regarding repairs conducted by iHandi and the impact of taking the repaired device elsewhere.

Physical Damage Exclusion:

iHandi phone and computer service specialists (“iHandi”) cannot be held responsible for any physical damage that occurs to the devices brought in for repair or service. This includes but is not limited to cracks, dents, liquid damage, and any other signs of physical damage.

1: Warranty Void :

In cases where there is evidence of physical damage to a device, the warranty provided by iHandi will be voided. The warranty covers only manufacturer defects and workmanship related to the repair or service performed by iHandi. Any physical damage detected will result in the warranty being invalidated.

1.1 : Repair Warranty :

iHandi provides a limited warranty on repairs performed, as outlined in our Repair Warranty Policy. This warranty covers the replaced parts and the workmanship for a specified period from the date of repair completion.

1.2 : Warranty Validity :

To maintain the validity of the repair warranty, it is essential that the customer adheres to the following guidelines:

  1. a) The device must be used under normal operating conditions and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. b) The customer should not attempt to repair or modify the device or allow unauthorized third parties to do so.
  3. c) Any issues or concerns related to the repaired device must be reported to iHandi within the warranty period

1.3 : Amendment and Notification :

iHandi reserves the right to modify or update this Warranty Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our official website or notifying customers through other appropriate means. By engaging in our repair services, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this Warranty Policy.

2 : Effect of taking the device elsewhere (Warranty Voidance) :

If the customer takes the repaired device to a third-party service provider or attempts self-repair after it has been serviced by iHandi, the repair warranty provided by iHandi will become null and void. This includes any repair-related issues or damages arising from such actions.

2.2 : Responsibility :

iHandi cannot be held responsible for any consequences or issues that arise as a result of repairs performed by third-party service providers or self-repair attempts.

3 : Customer Responsibility :

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that devices brought to iHandi for repair or service are free from any physical damage prior to the commencement of any work. Customers should thoroughly inspect their devices and disclose any pre-existing physical damage to the iHandi representative during the intake process.

3.1 : Customer Responsibility :

It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully read and understand this Warranty Policy before proceeding with any repair service provided by iHandi. By engaging in our repair services, the customer acknowledges and agrees to comply with the terms and conditions outlined herein.

3.2 : Governing Law :

This Warranty Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts

4 : Assessment and Communication :

Upon the arrival of a device, iHandi will conduct an initial assessment to check for any existing physical damage. If any damage is found, the customer will be promptly notified, and further repair or service options will be discussed.

5 : Additional Repairs :

If a customer wishes to repair or address any physical damage found during the assessment, iHandi may offer additional services at an agreed-upon cost. These repairs will be separate from the original repair or service requested.

6 : Manufacturer Warranty Implications:

If a customer’s device still has an active manufacturer warranty, it is important to note that any repair or service carried out at iHandi may potentially affect the warranty provided by the original manufacturer. iHandi cannot guarantee that the manufacturer will honour the warranty after our repairs or services have been performed.

6.1 : Exceptions on the Manufacturer’s Warranty :

If the repaired device is still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, the customer should consult the manufacturer’s terms and conditions regarding any impact on the warranty caused by repairs conducted by iHandi or subsequent actions.

6.2 : Additional Services :

If the customer receives additional repairs or modifications from a third-party service provider that are unrelated to the repairs initially conducted by iHandi, our warranty coverage will only be voided for the specific parts or services affected by the external repair or modification.

6.3 : It is crucial for customers to be aware of the potential impact on the manufacturer warranty before deciding to proceed with repairs or services at iHandi. By proceeding with our services, customers indicate their understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions regarding manufacturer warranty implications.

7 : Customer Consent : By proceeding with a repair or service at iHandi that may affect the manufacturer warranty, the customer acknowledges and accepts the potential risks involved. It is the customer’s responsibility to understand the implications and make an informed decision. iHandi will not be held liable for any denial or voiding of the manufacturer warranty.

8 : Warranty Documentation : iHandi will provide documentation specifying the repairs or services performed on the customer’s device. This documentation should be retained by the customer as proof of the services rendered by iHandi.

It is essential to read and understand these terms and conditions before proceeding with any repair or service at iHandi. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these policies regarding physical damage and warranty.
